Maize is usually harvested at around 35% dry matter content (DM). farmers said that In the farming season of maize of last year, they lost about certain per cent of production. But, based on the measures taken by farmers with the technical support given by HoReCo in fighting against FAW and maize other diseases, the yield loss will be lower in the current farming seasonA,2019/2020. The cooperative acting as a link between the rural farmers and the government should represent the rural farmers well by presenting their problems for the government to support the programme of the rural farmers through finances and any other means.

HoReCo agronomists are day to day on the field (schemes or marshlands) mobilizing and helping the rural farmers of maize through organizing an agricultural or supporting programmes which help in reducing illiteracy among the rural farmers and also develop their knowledge in agricultural activities. This helps them to increase their productivity of maize after being mobilized.

This mobilization that HoReCo agronomists conducts through cooperatives, community works and different meetings in all maize working schemes, support a lot in incorporating new agricultural techniques with the purpose of increasing maize productivity in their respective schemes.
